Canada is to become the first country to label bisphenol A, a basic building block for polycarbonates, a toxic substance. Found in your nalgene bottles and tin cans, bisphenol A is linked to cancer and unstable hormone growth. If you’re drinking/eating out of something with a number 7 inside the recycling symbol, you may want to reconsider your options. For me, I think this means that I’m going to have to ditch my Nalgene bottles, which also leach bisphenol A in favor something less damaging.
